Hands on classes are the vital steps to moving to the next level as a hairstylist. We can watch video after video trying to master techniques but until we hit all the learning elements, seeing, hearing, writing, and doing; we will not own or build that muscle memory it takes to master a new skill.

Hands on Cutting Classes:
1) Foundational Haircutting (5 hr)
Hair cutting has 3 basic techniques on 3 different foundational shapes. Understand how to choose what technique and shape for the desired outcome. Learn how important finger angle and body position is as they can change the outcome dramatically. Master the foundation of hair cutting, become confident with skill.
Sectioning based on the shape of the cut.

2) Understanding Bobs (5hr)
Bobs are the rage. Let’s explore a few techniques, from soft and less structured to old school precision cutting. Working with graduation on all 3 shapes so you learn the differences and how working vertically, diagonally, and horizontally. Each cut is not only salon friendly but also an exercise is discipline and precision.

3) Graduation versus Layers (5hr)
Sometime with haircutting there becomes a thin line between Layers and Graduation. Clients want layers but show us pictures of graduation. Let’s explore a few techniques, of both Layers and Graduation and from there a combination of both. Learn the differences and how working vertically, diagonally, and horizontally can change your results. Each cut is not only salon friendly but also an exercise is discipline and precision.

4) Razor Cutting 101 A foundational class working with razors (5hr)
Explore the world of the razor, it is not just a shattering tool, but also a precision cutting instrument. This hands on haircutting class is to help you build a foundation of using this tool. You will be shown how to cut clean lines along with graduation and some layering. Speed up your game, create soft precision shapes, and unleash your creativity.

5) Razor vs Scissor (5Hr)
Dig in deep with cutting and realize that you can create the same shapes and haircuts whether you use a razor or a scissor. The difference is the texture and approach. This class is set up to help you understand when to use which tool and what effect will it cause when working in Blunt, Graduation, or Layering.
